Spring has officially sprung (whether it feels like it or not…)! When we first thought up this recipe and scheduled it for today, we immediately started reminiscing back to “Thirsty Thursday” from our college and post-grad days. Is “Thirsty Thursday” still a thing? Regardless, we’ve got warmer days and refreshing cocktails on the brain…
Which brings us to our Grapefruit Aperol Spritz recipe! I’m probably behind the times, but I was first introduced to the Aperol spritz last summer. I’m pretty particular when it comes to alcoholic beverages, but an Aperol spritz on a warm spring or summer day… it’s quite tasty. It’s a fairly simple cocktail: Prosecco, Aperol, seltzer and orange slices. We (obviously) had to put our own spin on the classic by using grapefruit seltzer and adding grapefruit slices! This addition makes it even more citrusy, sour and refreshing—perfect for the warmer days ahead! Cheers!
